Our commitment

Maximizing Potential is committed to treating people with dignity and providing fair access to its programs and opportunities. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, disability, marital status, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Harassment based on these characteristics is also prohibited.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to our programs, services, events, participant selection, funding and award decisions, employment, volunteer opportunities, and leadership roles. Directors, officers, staff, volunteers, reviewers, judges, and others acting on behalf of Maximizing Potential are expected to follow it.

Fair decisions and access

We use relevant, consistently applied criteria when making decisions about participation, employment, service, and leadership. We work to identify and address barriers to participation and provide reasonable accommodations consistent with applicable law. To discuss an access need or request an accommodation, contact maximizing.potential.admin@gmail.com. You do not need to include sensitive medical or identity information in your initial message.

Report a concern

Anyone who experiences or observes discrimination, harassment, or a violation of this policy may report the concern to maximizing.potential.admin@gmail.com or to a director who is not involved in the concern. We review concerns fairly and take appropriate steps to address violations. We prohibit retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith, requests an accommodation, or participates in a review.

Handling reports

We handle reports with care and share information only as needed to understand and address the concern or as required by law. We cannot promise complete confidentiality. Nothing in this policy prevents anyone from seeking help from an appropriate public agency or exercising rights under applicable law.
